23 Years and Counting!
The first of the week we were in Nauvoo and worked on bricks and familysearch. Wednesday, April 27th we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary by going to Kolona an Amish community a couple hours away and staying overnight so I can soak in a bathtub every now and then. We also took advantage of a couple nice days (it's been raining a lot) and went on a carriage ride. The site missionaries here do such a good job of telling stories and testifying of gospel truths.
Tomorrow we are leaving again for our last road trip until the temple reopens the fourth week of May. We have missed being in the temple and have missed our association with the other workers. Excited to resume our mission in the temple!

Another cool wagon
The bridge on the Mississippi between Nauvoo and Fort Madison separates when the barges go through. It's called being "Barged" We had heard about it but hadn't experienced it. Now we can say we've been "barged" It takes about 20 minutes from the gates going down and then back up again.
A smallish barge, some have five long and two wide of these containers at one time.
Happy Anniversary to us!

We learned that some conveniences for some of the people are being embraced. Farming is so much easier when you have the right equipment. These are people to be admired.

This purple plant is every where now. It's a weed in the family of deadnettle called henbit. It's beautiful!
The scenery is so lovely
